MM 123: Church as Kingdom Society (2 credits)
One of the main expressions of God’s Kingdom on earth is a distinct people. In the New Testament, that people are called the ekklesia – God’s peculiar “gathering,” “community” or “congregation” in Messiah Jesus. This class is a theoretical and practical study of what the ekklesia is and how it is meant to function from a uniquely biblical point of view. It will weave Old Testament background and New Testament teaching with some ‘lab’-style practice New Testament-based meetings.
