A WORD FROM FOUNDER

Thank you for your interest in IMPACT School of Ministry! It’s a real joy and privilege for me to introduce you to a school where our central focus is building people and equipping them for Christian ministry. If you are devoted to Jesus, hungry to study God’s Word and experience the power of His Spirit, ISM may be the right place for you!

Our expectations for our students are high because our expectations for what the Lord wants to accomplish through them are just as high! At ISM, you will study, pray, worship, grow and serve Christ in an environment shaped by the power of the gospel, and hope for a Spiritual awakening that will impact the church and the broader culture in which we live.

I believe in long-term relationships with students. As a result, we have developed an equipping strategy that emphasizes personal connections and a vision of the overarching mission of God’s Kingdom. From the time students enter their first semester to the time they graduate, ISM seeks to provide them with solid biblical and theological foundations, hands-on ministry experience, personal mentorship by staff and faculty, and lifelong mission-minded partnerships.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions that you might have. May the Lord Jesus guide your steps as you continue to pursue His best in your life!

Yours for Jesus’ sake,

Rev. Ebenezer Dei
President, IMPACT School of Ministry

WHY IMPACT SCHOOL OF MINISTRY?

The effectiveness of Impact School of Ministry is based on its breadth of great teachers. The material is not designed as a collection of theory and theology but rather we aim at capturing the life-messages of respected believers from many different streams of Christianity. By learning from people with diverse anointing and backgrounds, the training becomes balanced and life-changing.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original autographs, so that they are fully trustworthy and of supreme and final authority in all matters pertaining to life and faith.

We believe in the one triune God co-existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is God, come in the flesh, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was true God and true man, existing in one person and without sin, that he suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; and we believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us as Lord of all, High Priest, and Advocate.

We believe that people, in their natural state, are sinners, lost, without hope in the world, and without God.

We believe the only way to be saved is through the blood of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and was raised for our justification.

We believe in the visible, bodily return of Christ Jesus to the earth, to gather His Church, and to judge the world.

We believe that in conjunction with the return of Jesus, the people of Israel will turn to God and be saved. The church is not spiritual Israel; it will enjoy the promises given to Abraham and fulfilled in Christ along with natural Israel, not in place of it. Believing Jews and believing Gentiles are united as one people of God through the redemption that is in Messiah Jesus, the Son of God. With this in mind, the church should love Israel as it loves itself, should pray for Israel, should minister with the understanding that their Savior is Israel’s Messiah, and should pursue the salvation of Israel.

We believe that the terms of salvation are repentance toward God and a personal, heartfelt faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, which results in regeneration of the person. This salvation is entirely by the grace of our Lord and not of works.

We believe that the Church of Jesus Christ is a body of believers who have Jesus as their head, who assemble to worship, who carry forth the great commission, and who minister as the Holy Spirit leads.

We believe that the two ordinances of the Church which are commanded by Christ are baptism in water in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and the Lord’s Supper, a memorial of the death, resurrection and second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe that followers of Jesus must live consecrated lives, embracing standards of conduct that exalt our Lord, build His Church, and demonstrate His purity and power to the world. A life of holiness and obedience to God is not optional, but is commanded by Jesus and the apostles as a requirement for those who will enter the kingdom of God. Holiness is not prerequisite to, but evidence of, salvation, and as such it is always present among those who are saved.

We believe that the Scriptures promise eternal punishment for the lost and eternal life for the saved.

We believe the Holy Spirit to be the Third Person of the Trinity whose purpose in the redemption of people is to convict them of sin, regenerate them, indwell them, guide them into all truth, and give gifts to them as He desires, that they may minister as Christ would. We believe that the Holy Spirit continues to supply God’s people with the full diversity of Spiritual gifts, ministries, and workings illustrated in Scripture for their edification and for the fulfillment of the worldwide mission of the gospel.

We believe that Jesus immerses people in the Holy Spirit, as promised by John the Baptist, Jesus himself, Peter, and Paul, and as witnessed by the early disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. This baptism in Spirit empowers believers to speak with other tongues, prophesy, boldly proclaim the gospel, and otherwise execute the mission Jesus has given to the Church.

We believe that God uses doctors, medicines, and other material means for healing, but that divine healing is also provided in the atonement and may be appropriated by laying on of hands of elders, through the gifting of believers, or by a direct act of receiving this provision by faith.

We believe that the foundation of the Church consists of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the cornerstone. We believe that the leadership of God’s Church is multifaceted, reflecting the diversity and wisdom of Christ’s provision for it. We seek to recognize and develop the full complement of Christian leaders for the equipping of believers and the maturity of the Church.
